Black? On Calamity? I don't see it; Black's the colour of subterfuge, of greed, and while Calamity has a penchant for looting corpses, that's for survival, not lust for material things. He's definitely a Boros character though.
His activated ability is far too "Rod of Ruin" esque for me, and NOPONY likes that card. I'd suggest making it two mana, and making the buffs he receives from Remedy and Pip less. Maybe +0/+2 and 1+/+0. He doesn't strike me as being that reliant on people.
